Brian Dubiel

Brian Dubiel was a dominant multi-sport athlete at Avon High School, excelling in football, wrestling, and lacrosse. A four-year varsity letterman in both football and wrestling and a three-year letterman in lacrosse, he was known for his leadership, versatility, and relentless competitive spirit.

On the football field, Brian earned Nutmeg Football League All-Conference honors in both his junior and senior seasons and served as team co-captain his senior year. In wrestling, he was a two-time Class S State Champion and a State Open finalist as a senior, earning All-Conference recognition in consecutive seasons. His success extended to lacrosse, where he was a two time team co-captain and earned Second-Team All-State honors as a standout defenseman and face-off specialist.

Continuing his athletic career at Trinity College, Brian played four years of varsity football and was an integral part of one of the most dominant teams in program history. Trinity amassed an incredible 31-1 record during his four seasons, including a remarkable 30-game winning streak across three consecutive undefeated seasons. The team secured four straight NESCAC championships, cementing its legacy as one of the best in Division III football. As a senior co-captain, Brian earned First-Team All-NESCAC, All-ECAC Division III New England honors, and All-East Region selections from both D3Football.com and Football Gazette. He also earned varsity letters in wrestling at Trinity, and later took up rugby after football.

Brian’s competitive drive has continued beyond college, earning the Boston Racquet Club’s Squash 3.5 Club Championship in 2015 and the Men’s DeepC Double Championship at the River Forest Tennis Club in 2023. An avid cyclist, racket sport enthusiast, and National Park hiker, he remains dedicated to athletics, embodying a lifelong commitment to sport and fitness that began at Avon. He lives in River Forest, IL with his wife, Vanessa, and children Brenna and Russell, and works for Ulta, Inc. as a Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing.
